Hawaii’s open-window living means more airborne salt and pollen settle onto interior surfaces. Every few months, give your Tropical Polymer or Wood shutters a deeper cleaning with a cloth and a drop of mild dish soap mixed into warm water. Wring the cloth out well so it feels barely damp, then wipe each louver, frame, and tilt rod.
Skip any harsh cleansers. Ammonia, bleach, abrasive sponges, and citrus oil cleaners can dull and damage finishes over time. After wiping with the damp cloth, follow with a dry one to remove any moisture, especially along the bottom rails where water tends to pool.
Regular dusting, gentle cleaning, and occasional hardware checks go a long way toward protecting your investment. And since our factory is right here on Oahu, any refinishing, servicing, or repairs happen quickly with minimal downtime.
